Save-A-Lot to revamp the weekly ads


Eric Claus, CEO of Save-A-Lot detailed some initiatives designed to boost sales at the limited assortment discounter.

One of the strategies will be to revamp the Save-A-Lot Weekly Ad Circulars including changes in content, cadence and timing of this ads.
The new Save-A-Lot weekly ad will make a stronger price impression on customers while emphasizing the differentiating fresh departments.

Other changes will encourage shoppers to increase the number of units they purchase on each trip, with a goal of increasing basket size.

The grocery retailer will offer one or two national brands, and make the stores a place where customers can make a complete shop.
