Aldi will introduce healthier checklanes


Aldi will introduce healthier checklanes at its stores, stocked with single serve nuts, trail mixes, dried fruit and granola bars instead of chocolate and candy. The healthier checklanes will be introduced at about 1,500 locations, by year's end.
The retailer checkout zones will offer fruit and nuts instead of chocolate and candy.
In an effort to offer better food options to its customers, Aldi’s private label products, are now free of certified synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils and added MSG.
Aldi's milk is free of artificial growth hormones for years, according to the retailer, and it has a committed to ensure that the milk used to make yogurts, sour cream and cottage cheese, has no artificial growth hormones.
Aldi is one of the biggest discount retailer in the world, with operations in Germany, UK, US, Australia.
