Festival Foods will start selling natural pork and organic chicken


The success of the grass-fed beef program is prompting Festival Foods retailer to expand its offerings to natural pork and organic chicke“We want to create a destination point for the guest that requires or desires that type of product.

"We are getting many good guest comments on the grass-fed beef, from the standpoint of both edibility/quality and health attributes", Mike Zimmerman, senior meat and seafood director at Festival Foods.

Festival Foods had introduced grass-fed beef in all stores at the end of last year. With the price for organic food coming down, customers are demanding more organic selections in the meat, dairy or produce departments.

Festival Foods operates more than 20 full-service, state-of-the art supermarkets and employs more than 5,000 full and part-time associates.
