About half of all American shoppers had visited the biggest retailer in the world, Walmart. Among the stores most visited by consumers are CVS and Walgreens, the biggest drugstore retailers in America, with over 15,000 stores together.
The most popular stores are primarily in the fast-food, discount retail and pharmacy area, according with Placed, a data service company that monitors the behavior of more than 150,000 American consumers daily.

1. Walmart - the retailer has over 4,500 stores in US, and is the biggest retailer in the world, with about $500 billion in revenue. Over 50% of American shoppers go to a Walmart location every month.
2. McDonalds's - the fast-food restaurant chain has over 15,000 stores in US, and revenues of about $18 billion. The fast-food locations are visited by about 50% of Americans every month.
3. Subway - with over 27,000 stores the fast-food chain is visited by about 40% of US shoppers.
4. Starbucks - the well known coffee chain has grown to over 12,000 stores, and about 30% of all shoppers go to a Starbucks every month.
5. Walgreens - with about 9,000 stores, Walgreens locations are visited by about 29% of all US shoppers every month. The retailer sells health products, grocery, cosmetics, and general merchandise.
